Water Skills for kids whose own wish is to become better Freediving adults tomorrow

The AIDA Youth training is not a training, it’s a fun activity for your kid (from 8 years old), where safety and motion skills may help to prepare children for the adult (above 16 years old) freediving courses. AIDA freediving children courses are designed to provide kids with skills to increase their safety when playing in and exploring aquatic environments under the water.

In other words, if your children loves to stay in the water, this kind of freediving kids’ game would be the most amazing summer activity for him/her!

Freediving for your children, really?

AIDA Youth is not teaching ‘freediving’; it teaches ‘water and safety skills’. In these AIDA kid program instead of freediving, children learn finning technique and correct body positioning within “wet” exercises and games. Children learn ‘breath control’, which implies that they know to inhale when above the surface, hold when submerged, and surface if they feel the ‘the urge to breathe’.

In this way kids don’t develop an interest of how long they can hold their breath, comparing their abilities to others’ and trying to hold longer. Instead of freediving “words”, children will approach relaxation techniques and normal, effortless breathing.
